Diamond painting styles & passions: how to choose your kit

This range groups our kits by taste. You start from what you like to look at, a street-art wall, a spiral of color or a record player on a sideboard, and you find the designs that match. Because the category covers many themes, a few questions help narrow the choice before you order: how much detail do you want, which room is the piece for, and how long do you want the project to last?

Graffiti and street art kits

Graffiti is one of the largest groups here. It runs from a Statue of Liberty and a Mona Lisa to an astronaut, a roaring lion, a monkey and an elephant in street-art style. Designs with strong outlines and flat blocks of color, such as Graffiti Wall or Graffiti Heart, are easy to follow. Black and white pieces like Graffiti Girl Black and White rely on contrast, so you need to read the symbols carefully. If graffiti is your main interest, our graffiti diamond painting kits collection gathers every design in one place.

Abstract and mandala designs

Abstract kits such as Abstract Colorful Hills Landscape, Abstract Boho Leaves and Sun and Cosmic Spiral Mandala suit a modern living room or a bedroom wall. Mandalas and symmetrical pieces like Gold and Azure Symmetry repeat patterns, which gives the placing of drills a very regular rhythm. Pieces with large areas of one color go faster than those with many small shifts of shade. You can see the full selection in our abstract diamond painting kits.

Music and retro scenes

Violins, guitars and record players make up the music side of this range. Vintage Turntable and Retro Orange Armchair, Retro Record Player and Red Tulips and Yellow Record Player Breakfast with Croissants combine warm interiors with instruments. Violin on a Table and Violin with Little Bird bring a quieter mood. These designs suit a kitchen, a reading corner or a music room. Cities, villages and landscapes

Colorful Houses Alley, Village Under Full Moon, Modern Pop Art City and Saguaro Cactus Desert and Pink Dunes show buildings and scenery in bold color. Houses and rooftops give you clear shapes to follow, while skies and dunes ask for patience with gradients. Stained Glass City with Fish splits the picture into small colored sections, which suits anyone who likes to finish one zone at a time.

Round drills or square drills

• Round drills go on faster and are easier to place on large areas.
• Square drills sit edge to edge and give cleaner faces, lettering and outlines.

For a design with fine lines, like a portrait or a graffiti tag with text, square drills show the detail better. For a mandala or a landscape, round drills are comfortable and quick. If you cannot decide, think about the longest stretch of the picture: a big sky or a wall of one color favors round, while a face or a word favors square.

Choosing a size

A small canvas can be finished in a few evenings and works well as a first kit. A larger canvas holds more detail and gives you a long project for many weeks. Think about the wall where it will hang before you pick. A tall piece fits a hallway, and a wide landscape suits the space above a sofa.

Tips for working on your canvas

Set up under good light and keep the drills sorted by color in the tray. Peel back only the section of protective film you plan to work on, so the rest of the adhesive stays clean. Press the tip of the pen into the wax, pick up a drill, and set it on its symbol with light pressure. Work from the top down or from one side across, so your hand never rests on drills you have just placed. A graffiti piece with large flat areas lets you build speed, while an abstract piece with shifting shades rewards slower, more careful sessions. When a section is done, press the drills down gently with a flat object so they sit evenly.

Displaying the finished piece

Bold designs hold up well on a plain wall, where the colors have room to stand out. A graffiti or pop art piece fits a hallway, an office or a teenager's room. Retro music scenes look natural in a kitchen or a dining area. Mandalas and abstract pieces work in a bedroom or above a sofa. Keep the finished canvas away from damp spots so it stays flat and clean.

Gift ideas

A kit that matches a passion makes an easy present. A violin or guitar design suits a music fan, and a graffiti piece suits someone who likes urban art. Our offer is simple: put 3 kits in your basket and the cheapest is free, which helps when you are buying for several people.

What comes in the box

Each kit has the pre-printed adhesive canvas, the drills in the shape you chose, the applicator pen, the tray and the wax. You need nothing else to start. If you want extra tools for long sessions, our diamond painting accessories and tools are listed separately.

Frequently asked questions

What does the styles and passions category include?

It brings together kits sorted by interest. You will find graffiti, abstract art, mandalas, music and retro scenes, cities and villages, landscapes and more. Pick the theme that matches your taste and browse the designs inside it.

Which kit is best for a beginner?

Choose a small canvas with large areas of one color, such as a simple abstract piece or a graffiti design with bold outlines. These give you quick progress and clear symbols. Round drills are also easier to place when you are learning.

Should I pick round or square drills?

Round drills are faster and more forgiving on large areas. Square drills sit edge to edge and show fine detail, text and outlines more cleanly. Choose square for portraits and graffiti with lettering, and round for mandalas and landscapes.

What is included in each kit?

Every kit comes with a pre-printed adhesive canvas, drills in round or square shape, an applicator pen, a tray and wax. You do not need to buy anything else to begin your diamond painting.

Is there a deal when I buy several kits?

Yes. Put 3 kits in your basket and the cheapest one is free. It works well for gifts, or if you want to try a graffiti, an abstract and a music design together.
